Striking, but not dominant

The building designed by Rudy Ricciotti nestles harmoniously in the village landscape. Standing in the centre of the village and built partially underground it is embedded pleasantly in the topography. Clad with wood from indigenous trees, it is restrained and blends into the background.

The building will also enhance the area between train station and Riedhubel. It will stand on building land which is currently not very attractive and will not take up any agricultural land. An underground car park will be built simultaneously with the cultural centre as well as a bus terminal; an access road through a tunnel will connect the centre to existing transport infrastructure. For users of public transport, the location next to the train station is ideal.
